Police seize marijuana crop

POLICE have seized around 470 cannabis plants in the Byfield area, with an estimated mature street value of almost $1million.

Four rifles were also found buried underground after information from the community and a six-month police investigation culminated in an aerial search in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about drug activity in Byfield or anywhere in the Yeppoon area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000 or Yeppoon CIB on 4393 0033.
