Biloela man killed in Duaringa crash named by the police

4pm: A BILOELA man who was killed in a crash near Duaringa on Sunday had overtaken a B-double truck when his left-hand wheels hit loose gravel, authorities said.

The man, who Duaringa Police Station boss Sergeant Paul James confirmed was 43-year-old mining trades assistant Jonathan Hill, was travelling west on the Capricorn Hwy on Sunday afternoon.

A post mortem on Mr Hill will be carried out in the coming days.

6.20am: A BILOELA man has died in a single vehicle crash yesterday afternoon on the Capricorn Highway.

Initial information suggest around 3.45pm a sedan was travelling on west on the Capricorn Highway when the vehicle has left the road and rolled at Duaringa

The driver and sole occupant, a 43-year-old Biloela man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. 

 5.20pm: A MAN has tragically died in a single vehicle rollover on the Capricorn Hwy today at 3.42pm.

Authorities confirmed the man was severely trapped in the vehicle and sustained severe injuries before passing away on scene.

The accident occurred just 3km West of Woorabinda.
