Bogut injury blow for Australia

AUSTRALIA'S men's basketball team suffered a huge blow ahead of the London Olympics when star centre Andrew Bogut ruled himself out due to ongoing ankle issues.

Bogut, traded by Milwaukee to Golden State last month, tweeted that after visiting a specialist he had decided to have arthroscopic surgery this week on the left ankle he broke in January.

"Shattered thinking about missing the 2012 Olympics. They truly are a life-changing experience," Bogut tweeted.
