YEPPOON anaesthetic nurse Tania Brown had her gloves pulled up for surgery when she got the distressing call about her two young sons.

The frantic caller, Tania's relative, had just been to pick up her sons Ethan, 8, and Thomas, 5, who were left stranded at a Tabone St bus stop near Yeppoon State High School.

She claimed a Young's Bus Service coach refused to wait for Ethan and Thomas and left without them.

Tania had prepped her boys for school on Tuesday morning, just like every other day.

Ethan and Thomas caught a Rod North's Coaches bus from their Hidden Valley home around 7.55am on Tuesday.

They were to get off at the western stop in Tabone St.

Tania claimed her sons should have arrived at the bus stop around 8.10am to get on to a Young's Bus coach to head to their school - St Benedict's Catholic Primary School.

Instead, Tania said her sons waited about 10 minutes at the bus stop and headed to Yeppoon State High School when they realised their bus forgot to pick them up.

A fuming Tania contacted The Morning Bulletin last week claiming the same thing happened last year on several occasions.

"The boys were fine, but just imagine if it had been raining or they were out in the middle of nowhere," she said. "If I'm at work, in theatre, I can't just leave in the middle of an operation.

"If my sons had been there for more than half an hour, I would have rung the police."

Many times last year, Young's Bus Service did not pick up her sons, Tania claimed.
