Swift water rescue crews enter Fitzroy to secure line to car

1.40pm: TWO Swift Water Rescue crews have entered the water to secure a line to a vehicle submerged in the Fitzroy River near Reaney St.

1.30PM: A MEMBER of the public walking home from his girlfriend's home in North Rockhampton has spotted a car bobbing in the Fitzroy River.

Towing companies, police and Queensland Fire and Rescue Service officers are at the scene formulating a plan to remove the car from the river.

Details of the car are not yet known at this stage.
