Cold nights to continue

IF you thought it was mighty cold last night you might be surprised at just how cold.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, last night's low temperature of eight degrees was the lowest for May and for the year.

Rockhampton BOM forecaster Mike Marrinan said the next coldest night for May was on the 7th, which recorded 9.3 degrees as the lowest temperature.

"It's likely to be as cold, if not colder," he said.
