2.30pm: READERS are running into comedic duo Hamish and Andy at Stockland Rockhampton.

Helena-Marie Knight posted an image on The Bulletin's Facebook wall just after 2pm today. However, it has been noticed one person in the photo was giving the finger.

The Bulletin also spotted this image posted on a reader's wall:

12.50pm: FROM South America to Rockhampton, comedic duo Hamish and Andy have just left Sea FM headquarters on a whirlwind visit to the Beef Capital.

The pair mentioned the idea of hosting a show in the region on Monday when they talked about what they planned to do on Iron Island, an islet south-east of Mackay.

They have temporary approval from Livingstone Shire Council to occupy the island.

They are rumoured to be making a brief stop-over in Rockhampton before heading to the 4.5ha island.

The duo plan to be known as King Mayors of the island.

Hamish and Andy, who are half-way through the season of their popular television show Gap Year South America, have been spotted on the Fitzroy riverbank and Renny's Cafe on East St.

Reporters at The Morning Bulletin attempted to stalk the pair for an interview, but were unlucky.

If you've spotted Hamish and Andy out and about in Rocky let us know by commenting below, on our Facebook page, or by Twitter.
