A MAN has been transported to Rockhampton Hospital after suffering two stab wounds in a fight at an Emerald hotel early this morning.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening; however, a police spokesman said he suffered a suspected cut to the liver.

The incident happened at a licensed venue in Clermont St, about 2am.

It's understood police will release a description of the offender, who fled the scene of the attack, later today.
