Crabby cooking result

AN Emu Park man's dinner didn't turn out the way he expected tonight.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service were called to a unit in Emu Park at 7pm due to a fire under the unit.

A QFRS spokeswoman said the man was cooking crabs on a gas cooker.

"There was a gas leak and he tried to turn it off but turned it the wrong way and made it worse," she said.

The man extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived, using an extinguisher and then dousing it with water.
