AMY Pagano is no stranger to home delivery.

The North Rockhampton Wok Me manager hails from New York, where you can get anything delivered at any time.

Amy said she introduced the service to the noodle restaurant in April and the concept has proved popular so far.

Her comments come after McDonald's announced it would trial home delivery in Hervey Bay later this month. The idea received a lot of criticism, but also calls for healthier options to adopt the service.

Amy said Wok Me provided "clean food" that could now be dropped at your door step. While she understood concerns about obesity, she said home delivery was sometimes the safer option.

"We're coming up to summer where people are having parties and barbecues where they are drinking," she said.

Amy also said it was convenient for working parents.

"People are busy, why make them give up quality time with their family just to pick up dinner," she said. "You have to go with the market." Wok Me charge a $5 delivery fee. Minimum order is $30.
