BY day Jenna Kerschbaumer wears steel-cap boots and a hi-vis shirt.

But there's nothing she loves more than getting glamorous when she's clocked off for the day.

This weekend Jenna, 26, will compete in Swimsuit USA at the Zodiac Nightclub before taking part in the Country Girl Australia competition in the coming months.

Jenna said modelling was an escape from her day job as a lab technician testing asphalt.

"I just wanted to give (modelling) a go and I finally found the confidence to get up there and do it," she said.

Jenna said Country Girl Australia was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

She hoped the competition would allow her to pursue a modelling career.
