STUDENTS from Park Avenue State School were treated with a visit from former Australian and Queensland Rugby League legends Alan Langer and Steve Price on Thursday.

The football stars were visiting as part of the FOGS initiative.

They took the time to visit the school and joined the children to walk from the school to the nearby indoor sports centre where they took part in indoor cricket and netball sessions.

More than 40 children enjoyed the sessions urging them to get active as part of the Active After-school Communities program delivered by the Australian Sports Commission.

"It's a great program, it's great to see so many kids given the opportunity to play as many sports as possible" Langer said.
