Man faces 19 charges after evading police

A DRIVER accused of causing mayhem in the main street of Childers on Friday has faced a Brisbane court charged with 19 offences.

Geoffrey Declan Foran appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court today over the police chase and allegedly driving while disqualified.

The 28-year-old is accused of stealing a total of three cars, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving as well as burglary and weapon charges.

Foran had allegedly breached previous bail conditions and was on a warrant for failing to appear in Bundaberg District Court on August 22.

He did not apply for bail over the Childers incident and the case was adjourned to October 10 in the same court.

The list of his charges include:

  1. failing to stop a motor vehicle
     
  2. disqualified driving
     
  3. dangerous operation of a vehicle
     
  4. burglary x 2
     
  5. unlawful use of a motor vehicle x 3
     
  6. unlawfully possession of weapons
     
  7. stealing x 3
     
  8. receiving tainted property
     
  9. possession of suspected stolen property
     
  10. possessing dangerous drugs
     
  11. obstruct police
     
  12. breach of bail conditions x 2
     
  13. fail to appear warrant. 

The offender is to appear in custody at the Brisbane Magistrates Courts today.
