Motorcyclist taken to hospital after kangaroo collision

10.30am: A 21-YEAR-OLD male has been taken to hospital after his motorbike collided with a kangaroo, north of Rockhampton, this morning.

It is believed his motorbike has been towed and the road is now clear.

9.45am: EMERGENCY services are responding to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a kangaroo, 20kms north of Rockhampton.

Early reports indicate a 21-year-old male has pain to the left arm and leg, along with pain in the abdominal region.

It is believed the incident could be on the Bruce Highway near The Caves.
