RACQ CQ Rescue has airlifted a 32 year old builder who had injured himself on Hamilton Island this morning.
The man had a nail from a nail gun lodged in his right knee and needed to be taken to Mackay Base Hospital for further treatment.
The rescue helicopter and crew landed on Hamilton Island at 12.10pm and arrived back at hospital with the patient at 1.55pm
