NRL hero and kids get active
HIS team is on the bottom of the ladder, with just one win to its name, but you wouldn't have guessed it by talking to Parramatta Eels warrior Nathan Hindmarsh yesterday.
Having announced last month that this season, his 14th, will be his last, Hindmarsh made it clear he wasn't planning on getting bogged down with the team's early form slump.
The Eels' second rower was visiting Rockhampton yesterday, as part of the Macquarie Sports Foundation and ARL junior development programs.
The rugby league clinic saw 300 children from 12 local schools have the opportunity to rub shoulders with the NRL star.
He was there to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
