One dead in Lakes Creek Rd crash

BREAKING, 6.10pm: One person is dead and another is suffering critical head injuries after a high impact traffic crash on Lakes Creek Rd in North Rockhampton.

The two-vehicle accident happened about 6pm.

A third patient from the same car is suffering a serious head wound.

A mother and two young children in one of the vehicles have suffered major bruising and are being assessed by ambulance officers.

Lakes Creek Rd is closed in both directions.
