Police investigate alleged stabbing at Great Keppel Island

YEPPOON Police detectives are investigating an alleged stabbing that took place on a yacht anchored off Great Keppel Island yesterday afternoon.

Two brothers and a 62-year-old man were involved in the incident, which occurred about 5pm.

The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service was tasked to the incident.

The service transported a 39-year-old man with severe lacerations to his left arm. He was transported in a stable condition.

A 41-year-old man, also suffering knife wounds, was transported to the mainland by boat and then to Rockhampton Hospital by ambulance. He was in a stable condition.

It is alleged the patients' injuries were the result of a knife fight. They were not life threatening.

Both men were treated on scene by the RACQ Capricorn Rescue doctor and intensive care paramedic.
