4.30PM: It is believed the two escaped prisoners have been taken into custody after they were recaptured on Emu Park Rd, 15km south of Rockhampton.

Reports suggest the stolen vehicle they were travelling in had a blown tyre and was travelling on a rim.

EARLIER: Police are currently searching the area around the Cawarral pub after a confirmed sighting of escaped prisoners Tony Dwaine Morgan and Bradley Thomas Kuhl.

Detective Inspector Darrin Shadlow confirmed the pair bought a six pack of beer before leaving the pub in a vehicle.
