Soldier airlifted after accident at Shoalwater Bay today

UPDATE 1.55PM: A SOLDIER at Rockhampton has suffered suspected neck and spinal injuries after his light-skinned military vehicle rolled at Shoalwater Bay this morning.

The soldier, 18, was driving a Mercedes G Wagon when the rollover occurred.

The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service airlifted the man to Rockhampton Hospital for treatment and scans to assess the nature of his injuries this afternoon.

UPDATE 10.25am: ONE person has sustained injuries. Details of those injuries are not known at this stage.

10am: THERE are reports of a single vehicle rollover at Kunwarara, Raspberry Creek, on Bruce Highway.

Emergency services are responding.
