6pm: Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in Capricornia areas over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, and Town Of 1770.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.

9am: FLOOD warnings have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for the Central Queensland region after yesterday's storm.
Rainfall totals of up to 150mm have been recorded in the Dawson River catchment between Moura and Baralaba since 9am Thursday. This has caused river level rises in the lower Dawson River, with minor flood levels at Baralaba.
Predicted River Heights/Flows:
MOURA: River levels are forecast to ease during Monday.
BARALABA: River levels are forecast to remain above the minor flood level (4.0 metres) during Monday, with further rises possible as water arrives from upstream.
Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.

8.20am: THE Department of Main Roads has just issued an update on the Liechhardt Highway.
The department says the highway, about 20km south of Banana, is open with caution. Water over the road - please drive with care.
8.15am: A NUMBER of roads are closed this morning in Central Queensland after last night's storm.
The Dawson Highway between Banana and Moura is closed due to flooding.
The Leichhardt Highway about 20km south of Banana is closed to all veichles due to flooding.
At 10.35pm, Main Roads stated the Burnett Highway between Biloela and Dululu is open with caution - water over road in various locations - conditions can change quickly.
Due to road closures in the region, papers have not been delivered to Biloela this morning.
