A NORMAN Gardens girl has been hit by a car after chasing her ball out on to the road on the corner of Farm and Bramble Sts this afternoon.

An ambulance spokesman says the girl, nine, sustained a fracture to the leg.

The girl's condition is not known.

The incident happened just before 5pm, Friday.

Ambulance staff are taking the girl to Rockhampton Hospital.
