SCHOOL HOLIDAYS: what's on around the region today


10am: discover your inner-artist and meet new people at the North Rockhampton library while you colour. Join the colouring trend for adults and enjoy the conversational experience at the libraries.

10am: Cooberrie Park is open until 3pm with an animal show at 1pm.

10am: Children of all ages are invited to colour in some scary pictures from local author Greg Chapman at the North Rockhampton Library.

10am: Beginner Superhero Sketchers. Hints and tips on the art of drawing graphic novel characters. Ages 10+ at the Community Centre Garage at  John Street.

3pm: Play a casual game of chess and meet new challengers each week at the Library. All ages and skill levels are invited to join in the action! At Rockhampton Regional Library.

3.30pm: Anime crosses over into the Twilight Zone! Bring your pens and a favourite manga character to reinvent at the ombie Anime/Manga Club for teens. The club meets at North Rockhampton Library.

7pm: Public skating session in the Exhibition Pavilion, Rockhampton Showgrounds until 9.30pm. Entry via gate 6, Lion Creek Road. Entry - $7, Skate Hire - Quads $1, Inlines $2. Barbecue and snack shop available. Contact Judi on 0487 472 951.
