Stalker of police officer sentenced to 12 months' probation

BERSERKER man Karl Nathan Porteous has today been sentenced to 12 months' probation after he pleaded guilty in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court to stalking a police officer.

Porteous was convicted after the court heard he made Facebook posts and graphic memes about an officer in the Rockhampton Police traffic branch.

It was heard in court Porteous tracked down the police officer's home, took photos of it and put them on Facebook.

The Morning Bulletin spoke to Porteous about his reasons for stalking the officer.
