Rocky man strips off, 'groped his crotch' then cops fine

WHEN Gracemere man Matthew Allan Beardmore was being led from his home to a police car on November 27, he removed all his clothes and stood naked in public.

It was a decision which landed the 33-year-old in Rockhampton Magistrates Court and with a hefty fine on December 16.

Beardmore pleaded guilty to two charges including wilful exposure after police attended his home regarding an unrelated matter at 2am.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Kathryn Stafford told the court he "took off his clothes and groped his crotch area" while being escorted to a police vehicle.

She said he told a witness, "You won't see this again".

Beardmore was fined $900.
