USQ's reputation grows
THE University of Southern Queensland is fast becoming one of the most desirable places to study.
Figures released by the Federal Government show offers to full-time students have risen 6.6% in three years.
University of Southern Queensland vice-chancellor Jan Thomas said the figures were proof the university was growing in stature each year.
"Our growing reputation is seeing students look at the university and realising they will get the whole education package," Ms Thomas said.
"USQ students are very discerning and we have always ensured that we put their needs first."
Ms Thomas said one of the fastest growing areas of the university was the Faculty of Arts.
"A lot of our courses are performing extremely strongly," Ms Thomas said.
"One of the areas that we are delighted with is the Faculty of Arts, especially the communications field."
Ms Thomas believes Toowoomba itself is one of the main reasons why students are choosing USQ over other universities.
"Toowoomba itself is a fantastic place and people here see education as a valuable commodity," she said.
"There are some very compelling reasons to study at USQ and that is now certainly being reflected in the strong figures."
Our growing reputation is seeing students look at the university and realising they will get the whole education package.
