Tightlines contest starts

PREDICTIONS of chilly weather and rough seas didn't deter fishing enthusiasts of all ages from getting involved in Central Queensland's biggest fishing competition.

Tightlines got underway yesterday at Keppel Bay Marina and runs until Sunday.

The Yeppoon Coast Guard's major event raises funds for the local flotilla. The list of sponsors reads like a "who's who" of Capricorn Coast businesses.
