A DEVASTATED Dave Duggan can never replace what he lost yesterday morning.
The toys and tools he had collected during 35 years went up in a blaze that engulfed his father's shed at South Gladstone.
Police noticed the fire at 12.12am and by the time fire crews arrived it was well alight, fortunately with nobody inside.
Two fire crews put out the fire but the damage was done.
Mr Duggan's reef boat, tinny and Triumph motorcycle were melted down to scrap inside the Bentley St shed.
"You can never replace that stuff. It's everything I have collected for 35 years," he said.
"I have worked on the boats and the bike and I'll never get that back."
Mr Duggan dropped his boat back to the shed on Wednesday, about 5pm.
"I was woken up about one in the morning by a rattle at the door," he said.
"It was the police telling me the shed had been burnt out."
Mr Duggan said the hardest thing was telling his father his shed was gone.
"Dad is 85 and lives in Bundaberg," he said.
"He's had this shed for 33 years.
"He's driving up to Gladstone now and he is not happy."
