Truck fire closes Capricorn Hwy

THE Capricorn Highway approximately 20km east of Emerald is currently closed due to a truck fire.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.10pm.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was out, but advised motorists to delay their journey between Emerald and Blackwater.

It is believed the driver was not injured.
