Passenger in Yeppoon fatal crash was 15-year-old

NOON: FORENSIC crash units have been at the scene of the fatal car crash in Cobraball Rd.

Rockhampton district duty officer Senior Sergeant Ralph Faria confirmed a Yeppoon woman, 33, was driving a Holden Commodore sedan on Cobraball Rd, where the bitumen meets the gravel section of the road.

Police are not releasing the woman's name at this stage.

The woman's passenger was a 15-year-old teenager from Yeppoon.

Snr Sgt Faria says the pair are not immediate family members.

He also says the forensic crash unit has been at the scene investigating whether speed and driver error were factors in the accident.

7.40am: A QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman says the QFES was called to the scene of a fatal crash at Bondoola by police at 3am.

7.20am: A WOMAN has died in a single vehicle crash in Yeppoon early this morning.

Police are investigating the fatal traffic crash.

Initial information suggests a car travelling on Cobraball Road has lost control and rolled a number of times.

A 33-year-old Yeppoon woman who was the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. A female passenger was not physically injured.
