Readers report near misses with dangerous driver

11.30am: DRIVERS have reported seeing a young child in a car that is being driving erratically on Rockhampton streets.

Police are on the lookout for the blue Ford Falcon station wagon being driven by a female.

Reports indicate this vehicle has been intercepted by police in the past.

It is believed a number of calls have been made to Triple Zero operators with one caller saying the vehicle had swiped a side mirror off another vehicle.

What we know: 

  • It was last reported by callers going past the Capricornia Correctional Centre on the Bruce Highway. 
  • Police suspect the vehicle could be headed towards Yeppoon.
  • Registration of the vehicle is 470 VLL.
  • Readers have reported near misses with this vehicle

 

UPDATE 12.15PM: READERS have posted reports of near misses with a vehicle matching the description of one travelling dangerously on Rockhampton roads with a young child inside.

Emily Renae Robb said she drove past the vehicle today and it was " frightening!!!"

"This sounds like the blue station wagon that was driving south along the highway and ran me off the road at Paramount Estate because it was driving along the wrong side of the road?" Julia Diehm posted.
