Police release jewellery heist footage

POLICE have released security footage showing five masked burglars smashing their way into Stockland Rockhampton before robbing two jewellery stores.

Police are appealing for public information to help find the bandits who escaped with a “large amount of jewellery” just after 1am on Monday.

The five thieves broke into the centre’s underground car park at the entrance near Sizzler on Moores Creek Road.

They escaped before police arrived on scene.
