Great-grandmother arrested during protest

A 69-year-old great-grandmother, from New South Wales, was arrested as she protested against Talisman Saber on Saturday morning.

She allegedly failed to comply with a police direction.

Around 11.55am the woman allegedly walked around a police road closure on Byfield Road, Byfield, north of Yeppoon.

She then allegedly refused to comply with a police direction and was arrested.

She was charged with one count of contravene a direction and released on bail to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 31.
