Glenn Cooper from Channel 7, Wayne Collins from Stanwell Corporation and Alison Moss from Benevolent Aged Care.
ABOUT 230 guests watched as Benevolent Aged Care was crowned Outstanding Business of the Year on Friday night at the Rockhampton Regional Development and Ergon Energy Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner.
More than 20 businesses from across the region vied for the Business of the Year Award, with Benevolent Aged Care eventually triumphant.
The business also took out the Stanwell Major Business of the Year Award.
Rockhampton Regional Development chief executive Gary Kerr was delighted with the results of the awards.
“All the entrants worked hard on their submission and they all deserve recognition of that hard work,” he said.
“That's what these awards are all about - to recognise the level of excellence our region's businesses have.”
This year's awards also included a number of Kennas “Destined for Greatness” Mentoring Opportunities for entrants who demonstrated potential for further levels of excellence with business development.
Five entrants were awarded these opportunities - affinity swim, Australian Volunteer Coast Guard, Australian Reproductive Technologies, Fitzroy Basin Association and Paddy's Bins.
The Rockhampton Regional Development and Ergon Energy Business Excellence Awards are an annual event for businesses within the Rockhampton Region to analyse their performance using the 6 Elements of Excellence.
