Qld car insurance premiums reviewed

THERE are a few simple things you can do to reach a balance between the type of car insurance you need, and the amount of money you pay for your premium.

ROCKHAMPTON Regional Council has released a list of roads currently closed due to localised flooding.

They are:

Eastern Area

• Apis Creek Road at Mackenzie River – Closed for approximately one week
• Waterpark Creek Road at Waterpark Creek
• Bald Hills Road
• Barmaryee Road
• Bungundarra Road
• Byfield Road
• Cobraball Road
• Lake Mary Road
• Old Byfield Road – from Mt Rae
• Rossmoya Road
• Sleipner Road to Mt Chalmers
• Doonside Road
• Racecourse Road – Barmaryee Road end
• Stanage Bay Road – various locations

Western Area

• Bruce Highway – various locations in Bajool and Marmor area
• Port Curtis Road near the Woolwash
• Fairybower Road
• Old Capricorn Highway at Scrubby Creek
• Most of the roads in the former Fitzroy Shire Council area have some partial water over them
• Port Alma Road, Bajool
• Roope Road at the Causeway
• Roopes Bridge at the Woolwash
• Stanwell – Waroula Road at Dalma end
• Stanwell – Waroula Road – between Stanwell and Dalma
• Toonda to Port Alma
• Rosewood Road – South Mornish
• South Yaamba Road – Closed at Deep Creek

Beaches

• Bangalee vehicular beach access
• Kemp Beach – All accesses to Kemp Beach are closed except for the very northern access opposite
• Beaches Bistro at Rosslyn Bay
