Mike Marrinan, from the Bureau of Meteorology, said there would be generally unsettled weather this weekend around Rockhampton, with showers and short storms in the afternoon and rain at night.

“There may be some isolated heavy falls in places, but we won’t see the widespread heavy falls that occurred early in the week” Mr Marrinan said.

“It will remain unsettled through to the early part of next week.”

He also predicted more prominent rain in the southern parts of Capricornia and the Central Highlights.
