Rockhampton homes evacuated

Homes at The Range, Rockhampton, were evacuated as a gas pipeline was dug up this morning.
HOMES were evacuated in an area of The Range, Rockhampton, this morning after a gas pipeline was accidently dug up.
The accident happened just before 10.30am and a 100sqm exclusion zone was enforced at the corner of Bolton and Elgin streets.
The natural gas pipeline was repaired by 11.35am.
A gas examiner was on the scene and monitoring was being done house-by-house before residents were allowed to return to their homes.
