NOOSA has received plenty of international attention over the years, but it is apparently about to get some it didn’t expect.

Virgin tycoon Sir Richard Branson is reportedly about to make a splash with shots of his naked backside included in an ABC documentary shot at his Noosa River island resort.

Apparently the British multi-millionaire was caught “mooning” a film crew while visiting Makepeace Island with Australian friend and New York-based fashion photographer Russell James.

The pair was on the private island with the ABC crew shooting for an episode featuring James’ work with young Aboriginal artists in the Sydney suburb of Redfern.

“They (Branson and James) jumped on to a boat to catch a helicopter and dropped their pants and mooned the crew,” a source has been quoted as telling the national media.

“But they didn’t realise they were filming and the footage made it into the final cut.”

There was no word on when the documentary was expected to go to air.
