IF shots go astray on Sunday it is possible for golfers to blame the breeze.
That is the prospect as organisers ready themselves for the annual Charity Golf day organised by the ladies of the Scottvale Park Squash Centre.
There is little time to worry about weather conditions at this stage with organisers hopeful the cyclone currently hovering off our coast causes no disruption.
The event is for a great cause as it is a part of the fundraising for their Relay for Life team and is set up for all participants to have fun.
An organiser for the Scottvale Ladies, Kaye Kidd, said it would be a day filled with fun, laughter and activities.
In between, of course, there will be 18 holes of golf on the beautifully laid out Rockhampton Golf Course.
“Players and non-players are encouraged to attend,” Kidd said.
“Registration and pre-payment can be made at the club.”
A team of three costs $90 and individual registrations are accepted for $30.
Play will commence at 11am on Sunday with all proceeds from the Relay for Life going to Cancer Council Queensland.
The Relay for Life is at CQUniversity on May 22-23.
