Crash victim's condition improves

THE condition of a fifteen-year-old boy injured in a two-car crash at Gracemere on Wednesday has improved.

After being in a critical condition in Rockhampton Hospital, the boy was flown to Royal Brisbane Hospital on Thursday afternoon.

He was reported to be in an improved condition this morning - serious but stable.

Firefighters had used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the boy as he was unconscious and trapped in the passenger seat of the car after the accident.

His twin sister, who was in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the accident, was also transported to Rockhampton Hospital.

This morning she was in a stable condition in hospital.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
