SUPPORTERS will be out at Yeppoon tonight to see what new coach John Harbin can bring to his team this year.

Harbin is a tough disciplinarian, working hard preparing football teams for battle whether in rugby league or the round ball game.

Last week the Yeppoon side got away to a good start by beating Tannum 40-28.

While most coaches would be happy with that scoreline, Harbin will have been working on the side’s defence as 28 points conceded in a match usually means you will come away in defeat.

Tannum, too, go into the match with a win under their belts after downing Gladstone Brothers in a close contest.

It is a 7pm kick-off at Yeppoon.

Also playing today will be Rockhampton Brothers in a home venue for their clash with Valleys.

Brothers is possibly the benchmark of the local competition but would like to prove they are the best in the region by taking out the 2010 Challenge Cup.

Last weekend, Brothers recorded six tries to two to cruise to victory over rivals Norths Chargers.

The game at Victoria Park has a 7pm kick-off.

Fitzroys Gracemere looked the goods in their pre-season match with a young Tannum team but found the going far tougher against Biloela last week.

Tomorrow the lads have an early game at Gladstone’s Marley Brown Oval and can’t let the warmth of the day affect their performance.

Last week Fitzroys did all the hard work but then failed to Biloela away, a mistake player/coach Dane Jones will not want repeated when they meet Wallabys.

As Wallabys had the bye last week, little will be known of their 2010 form and the team might need a week or two to get into battle condition.

In the other A-grade fixture Biloela hosts Gladstone Brothers – both having lost last week.
