WHAT do Depot Hill, The Range and Mount Morgan home owners all have in common?
They will probably all be paying more rates from this year after today’s release of the latest land valuations for the Rockhampton region.
Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Stephen Robertson said the valuations provided a snapshot of unimproved land values at October 1, 2009, and were based on changes in the local property market.
In Rockhampton, where the last valuations were issued in 2005 and 2006, residential property values increased 13%, rural property values remained the same, commercial property values decreased 3% and industrial property values soared 37%.
To see how much your land valuations have changed, see tomorrow's Morning Bulletin for a full breakdown.
