Tara Jeffery, Danielle Schuller, Sheldon Olive and Lisa Murray were chosen as the four winners to compete in the All Hours Glass Grid Girl competition to compete at Camco Group MotorMania CQ.
DANIELLE Schuller has never missed a V8 race on television, but now she has the chance to get right into the action.
As a massive motorsport fan, the 21-year-old was over the moon to be chosen as one of Central Queensland's first grid girls on Saturday night.
Judge and main sponsor of the All Hours Glass Grid Girl competition, Melissa Mackay, said Danielle's personality and ability to speak with people stood out. Also chosen as finalists were Tara Jeffery and Sheldon Olive, who both radiated confidence on the catwalk at Strutters Nightclub.
Lisa Murray was awarded runner-up and will also join the finalists on the track at various Camco Group MotorMania CQ events this July.
Danielle said she couldn't wait.
“It's a privilege to be the first CQ Grid Girl, which will give me more opportunities in working at future motorsports events,” she said.
“It'd be great to look back in years' time and know I was a part of the development of MotorMania CQ.”
Melissa said she was excited to sponsor the grid girl competition.
“The event will really put Rockhampton on the map, because we have such good motorsports here,” she said.
