Top talent readies for Pro-Am

TODAY is the big day as the professionals take on each other — and the Rockhampton Golf Course.

All golfers will be hoping the weather does not become a factor, with light showers forecast for the opening two days of the Ian Weigh Motors Rockhampton Pro Am.

Looking down the field of talented golfers it would be hard to name a clear favourite.

Euan Walters would have to disagree with that assumption, as he takes some brilliant form into the event after winning at both Mackay and Capricorn Resort.

The only glitch on the radar for Walters is that his last round at the Capricorn Country Club was not quite so impressive.

Sam Brazel also had good form when winning a succession of Pro-Am events and also gained some good recent finishes on the Sunshine Tour.

Jason Shine could be an outsider, as he showed he is also playing good golf when carding a 66 in the event at Capricorn Country Club.
