Five years jail for hit and run

THE North Rockhampton man accused of attempting to kill the 20-year old man who stole his brother's mini-motorbike has been sentenced to five years jail.
Shane Mathew McPherson was found not guilty of attempted murder but guilty of acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm in the Supreme Court at Rockhampton this evening.
The jury found McPherson guilty after six hours of deliberation and he was sentenced to five years prison suspended after two and a half years.
