PREMIER Anna Bligh has told NRL boss David Gallop the Queensland Government is fully behind a bid by Central Queensland to have a team based in Rockhampton.
Member for Rockhampton Robert Schwarten said he and Ms Bligh met with Mr Gallop in Brisbane yesterday morning.
Mr Schwarten said she reinforced the government's commitment to building a stadium in Rockhampton.
She also made it clear there was “plenty of financial support” from companies in the region for the bid, he said.
Mr Gallop is due to visit the region next Tuesday.
