A council spokeswoman said council was not expecting any localised flooding in the Rockhampton area over the weekend.
A BoM hydrologist said the levels of the Fitzroy River in the Rockhampton area were forecasted to not exceed the minor flood levels of seven metres.
He said the river may rise to two or three metres at the most over the weekend.
