Kasey Chambers will be in Rockhampton in May for Beef Australia.
MAY just got beefier for Rockhampton with the announcement Kasey Chambers and Busby Marou will headline a special cattle and culinary country music concert.
Australia's national beef exposition, Beef Australia 2012, will host a Country Collaboration Concert which will see the two renowned Aussie artists, along with Shane Nicholson, Ashleigh Dallas and Bill Chambers, perform and collaborate during the huge Rockhampton event from May 7 to 12.
Kasey Chambers released her new album, The Storybook, last year before giving birth to a girl with her partner, musician Shane Nicholson.
This put a halt to her national tours to promote the album, including a tour to Rockhampton.
It was her first solo album in four years and won her an ARIA award.
Our musical sons Busby Marou saw major success last year and performed sold-out shows across the county.
The band supported huge acts like Dolly Parton and Birds of Tokyo, and this year came in at number 81 on triple j's hottest 100 countdown with the song Biding My Time.
They will return home to Rockhampton next Sunday for it's Save Some for the Others regional tour.
Beef Australia chairman Geoff Murphy said the concert was a major coup for the event to have one of Australia's most celebrated country music female artists, but to also feature rising local stars Busby Marou.
"Beef Australia 2012 is not just about showcasing the many new innovations in the cattle industry, it is also about celebrating together as a community," he said.
"The Country Collaboration Concert is a great way for everyone in Central Queensland to be a part of Beef Australia 2012."
The concert will be held at the end of five days of trade displays and cattle competitions, at the Rockhampton Showgrounds.
The concert is part of the event's live entertainment program, which will run throughout the week inside a special entertainment precinct, and includes the Man from Snowy River Arena Spectacular.
