Cruise supports action group

Jump on board Freedom Fast Cats to cruise Keppel Bay with Keppel and Fitzroy Delta Alliance on Saturday February 25.

FOR most of us, the delights of Keppel Bay are enjoyed from the shoreline: bathing in her healthy and gentle waters or feasting our eyes on her magnificent vista, white sails dotting the ever-changing water and mysterious islands offering an endless source of wonder and contemplation.

If you want to check it all out from on the water, join KAFDA cruising Keppel Bay on Freedom Fast Cats, for their first fundraising event this Saturday.

Leaving Rosslyn Bay Harbour at 8am, passengers will enjoy morning tea and lunch on board, as they take in the hallowed sights and sites on the bay.

Sailing past the pink-zoned Peak Island, the world's second largest flatback turtle rookery, the cruise is a great chance to relax and discover Keppel Bay from the other side.

"This is a chance to see Keppel Bay, Peak Island, Port Alma and learn about the Fitzroy Delta," said Ginny Gerlach, KAFDA spokeswoman.

The full-ay cruise costs $120 and proceeds will go to KAFDA. Membership forms, information and merchandise will be available.
