Eight items on Rockhampton and Livingstone council agendas
1. Palm Valley Rd petition
Livingstone Shire Council will be presented a petition from 25 signees requesting maintenance of Palm Valley Rd following council's recent decision to stop maintaining the full length of the road.
2. Pesticide and herbicide policy
A report will be presented to the council today to support the adoption of a new herbicide/pesticide policy.
3. Review of e-kindy
LSC will hear an officer's report in review of Marlborough's e-kindy programme.
So far, seven children have completed e-kindy since its introduction with nine enrolled last term.
4. Waterplay Park closed meeting
In a closed meeting today, the Livingstone Shire Council will hear a report to seek the approval for the implementation of technology and associated funding of the "zero depth" waterplay park.
The report said the park, which is to be located on the Yeppoon Foreshore, would provide an opportunity to implement a "discrete roll out" of smart technology to enhance community safety in and around the water park area.
5. Review of meetings
Rockhampton Regional Council will review the minutes of all previous committee meetings in November, including Communities, Health and Compliance, Parks and Recreation, Business Enterprise, Water and Infrastructure.
6. Fees for 2016 River Festival
Rockhampton Regional Council will discuss the fees and finance for the 2016 Rockhampton River Festival, after the success of the inaugural event held in July this year.
7. Art gallery acquisitions
In a closed session, Rockhampton Regional Council will hear a report on art acquisitions for the art gallery, which is currently closed for repair.
8. Organisation deputation
Council will hear a deputation from Andrew Wills from PHN Country To Coast, an organisation coordinating health care services for Central Queensland.
